BDB Energy Crunch

The Challenge

In early 2016 we were approached by leading London law firm, Bircham Dyson Bell to conduct research to support their business development and position the firm’s energy team as thought leaders on an emerging energy gap between UK electricity generation and demand.

The Byfield Difference

We conducted in-depth research, including qualitative data such as interviews with leading market experts and quantitative data showing how much energy would be lost as a result of upcoming power station closures. Using the comprehensive data gathered we produced a piece of thought leadership aimed at the media and key sector stakeholders.

The Results

We secured over 100 pieces of coverage for the Team, both pre and post launch of the report, including Channel 4 News, City A.M, The Times and Infrastructure Intelligence. The media outreach ahead of the report’s publication also enabled us to arrange introductory meetings with The Lawyer and Reuters. The report and coverage resulted in a number of new business leads for the team, and the marketing and business development campaign was highly commended at the Modern Law Awards.
