Job Description for Digital Manager/ Executive

About Byfield Consultancy  

Byfield is a market leading communications consultancy to the legal sector. We advise leading law firms and legal sector businesses on building and protecting their brands across a range of PR and communications activities.

An exciting opportunity has come up for a digital executive / manager (depending on experience) to join the team to develop Byfield’s digital assets and support key clients’ digital activity.  We are looking for someone who is creative, full of new ideas, a self-starter and excited to join an entrepreneurial business.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop Byfield’s social media assets across key platforms
  • Assist in the development of Byfield’s digital services
  • Maintain strong SEO for the Byfield brand
  • Assist on client accounts to develop and execute digital strategies and campaigns for clients
  • Provide advice on digital, social and content to Byfield account teams for benefit of clients
  • Work with external suppliers to deliver projects for clients
  • Work with senior management to develop new opportunities for Byfield within the legal digital, content and social space
  • Play a key part in new business pitches and proposals that have a digital and content element
  • Equip colleagues with digital, social and content skills


Skills Required / Experience

  • A minimum of two years’ experience in digital comms and marketing, either in-house or agency
  • Knowledge of content marketing, including repurposing content and optimising for search engines
  • Some knowledge of digital analytics, SEO and content management systems
  • Experience in promoting campaigns across the key social media platforms
  • Strong communication and writing skills, including producing content for different channels
  • Confident self-starter – able to identify and seize opportunities, and build trust with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Flexible, creative problem solver with strong presentation and interpersonal skills
