  • Leading City firm Wedlake Bell approached Byfield with a brief designed to raise the profile of the firm’s Private Client Group amongst high-net-worth individuals on an emerging theme.  Byfield identified a significant new piece of legislation that impacted a broad range of the firm’s private clients and where we could position the firm as a thought leader.


  • Byfield developed a campaign centred on Brussels IV – a revolutionary European Regulation which allows individuals to choose the law governing the succession to their EU assets on death. Byfield devised and implemented a campaign named ‘Success in Succession’ which analysed this new regulation and provided insightful commentary to a wide array of media targets, all with the aim of building Wedlake Bell’s reputation in this space.  Byfield developed key messages and branding for the campaign and advised on a range of marketing initiatives including a seminar for referrers, client bulletins, a client guide on the new legislation, video content and a Twitter Q&A in conjunction with the leading ‘high net worth’ publication, Spear’s.


  • We generated a broad range of coverage through the “Success in Succession” campaign, including national coverage in The Daily Telegraph and in leading trade magazines such as Spear’s, Private Client Adviser and Your Money. Alongside the other targeted marketing activities that Byfield advised and assisted on, the campaign positioned Wedlake Bell’s Private Client Group as pre-eminent advisers on this important change to succession rules.
